REQUEST FOR BID
PART-TIME CUSTODIAL SERVICES FOR KAMAS CITY HALL AND EVENT CENTER

Kamas City is accepting bids for cleaning services to maintain a clean environment at the Kamas City Hall and Kamas City Event Center. This position would require cleaning of the Kamas City Hall weekly, approximately 2 hours per week and the Event Center twice per month, approximately 2-3 hours each time. This opportunity is open to experienced custodial service providers who can deliver high-quality service on a part-time basis. Duties include, but are not limited to, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, cleaning kitchen, dusting, taking out the trash, and disinfecting surfaces. All interested applicants may deliver a bid to the Kamas City Hall located at 170 N. Main. Notice is hereby given that the Kamas City Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments regarding a Conditional Use Permit request by RVH KBC 4, LLC, to allow a height adjustment on Kamas City lot KAMC-4, from 27 feet to 35 feet for an unoccupied parapet on a proposed commercial building in the General Commercial zone located at approximately 175 W 320 S.

Over the next several weeks, our partners with Sunrise Engineering will be in our community going door-to-door handing out door hangers to selected property owners. Using a simple online survey, the objective of this field investigation work is to validate the water service pipeline material into your home/business. The SR-32 Corridor and City Centers Plan team wants your feedback on ideas for the future of the SR-32 corridor in Kamas Valley! Please take a few minutes to fill out our survey on alternative concepts for the SR-32 corridor and city centers. The team took your feedback from the Community Open House in January and has worked with the project Stakeholder Committee to develop a set of alternatives for the corridor and the centers. These alternatives seek to achieve the full range of Project Goals and balance the priorities for the corridor — for sustainably accommodating growth, preserving rural character and open space, increasing roadway safety, building trails, and establishing vibrant city centers. The SR-32 Corridor and City Centers Plan is a partnership of communities in the Kamas Valley, Summit County, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), and Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG). The Plan is funded through the MAG Technical Assistance for Governments (TAG) and UDOT Technical Planning Assistance (TPA) programs. The Plan will establish a holistic vision for the State Route 32 corridor from Oakley to Francis, with strategies for land use, transportation, economic development, and recreation. The Plan will balance and complement the regional use of the corridor with the needs of the communities of Oakley, Kamas, and Francis, including developing city center (downtown) plans for each community. We anticipate the study will run through this summer/fall and will include opportunities throughout for public engagement and input. Kamas City is hiring a Seasonal Administrative Employee. The position will be responsible for aiding in all aspects of customer service including the Kamas Valley Fiesta Days celebration. NOTICE The Kamas City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to accept public comment on proposed increases to the culinary water and sewer rates. The proposed increases are to fund ongoing operations of the systems and will go into effect July 1 each fiscal year.
