Today a controlled burn will take place at the Kamas City sewer ponds. This is a planned, safely monitored city operation, not an emergency.

Rocky Mountain Power Planned Outage

The outage will begin around 9:30 a.m. and continue through 1:30 p.m. lasting for approximately four hours. Approximately 362 customers will be affected during this time as crews will be pulling and terminating new wire into a transformer located at 350 S Gristmill Rd. in Kamas.

Kamas City is now accepting sealed bids for cattle grazing property with water shares on the following parcels: Parcels CD-508, CD-509, and CD 510, approximately 64 acres located in Summit County. 496 Beaver Shingle Creek Irrigation Company water shares will be included in the lease for the purpose of irrigating the property and watering livestock. The lease period will be from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2028. The bid amount should reflect a per-year bid for a three-year lease. Bids must be in writing and will be accepted until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the City Hall located at 170 N. Main, Kamas.

PART-TIME CUSTODIAL SERVICES FOR KAMAS CITY HALL AND EVENT CENTER
Kamas City is accepting bids for cleaning services to maintain a clean environment at the Kamas City Hall and Kamas City Event Center. This position would require cleaning of the Kamas City Hall weekly, approximately 2 hours per week and the Event Center twice per month, approximately 2-3 hours each time. This opportunity is open to experienced custodial service providers who can deliver high-quality service on a part-time basis. Duties include, but are not limited to, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, cleaning kitchen, dusting, taking out the trash, and disinfecting surfaces.
